The Role
BGC is looking for a Junior Accounting Clerk to work with our team in the Golden, CO Office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, multinational organization with a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Responsibilities
- Maintaining and reconciling accounts payables and receivables
- Preparing and entering monthly journal entries, cash receipts, AR and AP to meet accounting deadlines
- Coding and entering vendor invoices into the Accounts Payable module of BST 10
- Reviewing and posting employee expense claims
- Responding to various inquires from vendors and staff
- Reconciling and resolving accounts payable discrepancies
- Compiling invoice disbursement back-up
- Bank and Credit card reconciliations
- Completing ACH payments and cheque runs
- Assisting with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
- Assisting with ad-hoc year-end audit requirements and prepare annual audit working papers and support documents as needed
Requirements
- Post Secondary education in Accounting
- 1+ years experience in Accounts Payable
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
- Ability to work under pressure and flexible in order to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to deal with confidential information in a professional and tactful manner
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience with Concur is an asset
- Experience in a multinational work environment is an asset
